Office Furniture Removal and Decommissioning

Closing an office, downsizing, or turning back a lease? We remove everything: resell what has value, donate what qualifies, recycle the rest, and hand back a broom-clean floor.

How a Decommission Works

Lease-turn season runs September through November. Book the walkthrough early and the deadline stops being scary.

Inventory and scope
We walk the floor, count the stations, and scope the teardown, so the quote is firm and the schedule is real.
Teardown and haul-out
Our crews break down panel systems, move loaded files, and clear the floor on your building’s schedule, nights and weekends included.
Donate, recycle, document
What doesn't resell gets donated or recycled, with documentation for your sustainability reporting and your landlord.

Decommission Questions We Hear a Lot

What does office furniture removal cost?
Depends on volume and access. A 20-station office typically runs $2,500 to $6,000. The walkthrough gets you a firm number.
Can you meet our lease-end date?
That's the job. Tell us the turnover date at the walkthrough and we build the schedule backward from it, with margin.
How fast can you decommission a space?
A 20,000-square-foot floor is usually two to four days once we're in. Lease-end work is scheduled tight, so we'll walk the space first and give you a day count you can hold your landlord to. Nights and weekends are available.
Can our used furniture offset the removal cost?
Sometimes, and it's the first thing we check. If the furniture is a current commercial line in good condition and there's enough of it, its resale value reduces or eliminates your removal cost. We'll tell you honestly when it isn't worth anything.
What happens to the furniture you remove?
Resale first, donation second, recycling third, landfill last. We'll document the disposition if your company reports on waste diversion. Most of what leaves a Columbus office ends up back in another one.
Do you provide documentation for our landlord?
Yes. We provide certificates of insurance before the work, and a completion letter with photos afterward. Landlords typically want proof the space was returned broom-clean, and a documented handoff prevents the deposit argument later.
Do you handle hard-wired or built-in items?
We remove modular furniture, cubicles, and freestanding pieces. Anything hard-wired or attached to the building needs a licensed electrician or contractor, and we'll coordinate with yours or bring one in. We'll flag those items during the walkthrough.
Do you decommission offices outside Columbus?
Yes, throughout central Ohio and statewide for larger projects. Multi-site decommissions get scheduled as one job with one point of contact rather than a separate quote per building.
